OnceitentersthesecondleveloftheSecludedValley,Safi'jiivacantargetasinglehunter,similartoBehemoth'sEnmity,andwillstartrelentlesslyattackingthetargetedhunter,whileoccasionallyfightingoffotherhunters.Duringthisstate,itseyesturnred.Itcanbeflinch-shotduringthisstate,butwillnotturnwhenattackedbytheClutchClaw,norcanitbesentintoawall.Doingthiswillcauseittochangeitstargettothehunterwhoflinch-shotit.Thisstateiscountedtowards"Enraging"fortheAgitatorskill. Italsohasan"ultimateattack"inasimilarmannertoBehemoth'sEclipticMeteor,called"SapphireoftheEmperor",inwhichittakesflight,hoverswhilebreathingitsflameontotheground,sendingtheflamewavesoutwardandscorchingtheground.Theseflamewavesandthescorchedgrounddealnodamage,however.Aftersometimehaspassed,itthenreleasesabluestar-likeballofenergythatcausesthesurroundingareatodarkenandthenviolentlydetonateintoamassiveexplosionoflightthatcoversthewholearea.Itissaidtobeabletokillanycreaturecaughtwithinitsrange.MuchlikeBehemoth'smeteor,theexplosion,however,doesnotdestroyterrains,thustheonlywaytosurvivethisattackistohidefromthecenteroftheexplosionbehindprotrudingcragsfoundinthearea.OntheReconQuest,Safi'jiivatakesalongtimebeforethestarisreleased.IntherealSiegeQuest,however,ittakesonlyafewsecondstocompletethewind-upbeforereleasingthestar.Thestaralsodescendsfaster.Cragsfoundinthesecondlayerareindestructible.Thecragsinthebottomlayer,however,willbedestroyedbytheUltimateAttack,however,Safi'jiivaactivitycancausethecragstoreform.
