TheSeason7Storyline WithinthenextfewdaysfollowingthelaunchofSeason7,PolarPeakbegantothawout,revealingagiantcastleownedbyTheIceKingandseveralsurroundingbuildings.Astheicecontinuedtomeltevenfurther,athroneroom,library,andadungeonwererevealed.Thedungeoncontainedcells,oneofwhichcontainedfivemysteriouseggs.Afurtherroomwasalsorevealed,housingalargemoundoficesurroundedwithchains. Astheseeventswerehappening,TiltedTowerswasrebuiltintoanewsstationfollowingthedestructionofthepreviousbuildingbyTheCube. TherestoftheSeasonwasmostlysilent,theonlystoryline-relatedeventsbeingthattheInfinityBladetemporarilybecameaccessibleforlooperstouse.However,around40-50daysbeforetheendofSeason7,alargesphereoficeappearedabovePolarPeak,whichcontainedadormantIceKinginside,swirlingseveralcubeshardsinhishands,likelysourcedfromtheCuberemainsleftatLootLakefollowingTheButterflyEvent.ItseemedlikeTheIceKingwascombiningthepowerofTheCubewithhisicemagic,andacountdownappearedtoaliveevent. Whenthecountdownreachedzero,TheIceStormbegan.TheIceKingawakenedfromhisslumberandbrokeoutofhisicesphere,fragmentingitintopiecesandunleashingapowerfulshockwavethatpushedthestormaway.Usinghismagic,TheIceKingcreatedagianthologram-likeimageofhimselfnexttotheisland.Inthenextfewseconds,hebuiltupagiantsnowstormandsweptitoverthemap,coveringitinsnowandice.ThepowerofTheCubecombinedwiththeIceMagicspawnedIceCubefragmentsalloverthemap,spawningtheIceLegion.Theentiremapwasalsocoveredinasnowymist,significantlyobscuringvisionsimilarlytoFortnitemares.TheIceKingmighthavebeenattractedtotheislandfollowingtheeventsofTheCube,andsettoharnessitspowerforhimself. ItwasrevealedthatthelargemoundoficewithinPolarPeakcontainedThePrisoner,whoseemedtobetheFireKing,andthus,anenemytotheIceKing.Itseemedlikeatsomepoint,TheIceKingmanagedtodefeatThePrisoner,chaininghimupwithinPolarPeakandencasinghimwithinamoundoficesothathecouldneveropposehimagain.However,whattheIceKingdidnotfactor,wasthattheclimateoftheFortniteIslandwastoohot.Themoundoficebeganmelting,andsoon,thePrisonermanagedtobreakfreeandescapefromPolarPeak,takingthefiveeggsandfleeingtotheNortheastsideoftheisland.Withinaweekorso,thesnowonthenortheastsideoftheislandbeganmelting.Withindays,theIceMonstersdisappeared,andthesnowretreatedbacktothesoutheastsideofthemap,asThePrisonerbegancastingspellstomelttheice. HowdiditEnd? ThePrisoner'sactivitieswasaffectingthemagmaunderneaththeFortniteIsland,dozensoffissurestoopenuparoundtheisland.Thelargestoneofthefissures(whichalsohappenedtobethelastone)occurredinsideTiltedTowers,destroyingthenewsstationthatwasjustconstructed.InthefinaldaysofSeason7,WailingWoodsbecamedriedupanddiscoloured,asashesstartedtoriseupfromtheground.
