Decision-Making Beingabletomakedecisionsisalsocrucialtomovingthingsforward. Groupdecision-makingoftenrequirescompromise,andsometimesawillingnesstogiveupone’sownpointofviewinfavourofthegroup’sshareddecision. However,asourpageonGroupDecision-Makingmakesclear,groupdecisionsarenotalwayscorrectsimplybecausetheyareagreedbythewholegroup. ShapersandMonitor-Evaluatorsarebothgooddecision-makers. Shaperstendtomaketheirowndecisionsquicklyandthenmaystruggletocompromise.Theyshouldtrytoallowotherstospeakfirsttoavoidbiasingthegroup.Theirwillingnesstoarguetheirpointregardlessofviewsexpressedbypreviousspeakerswillbehelpfultothegroup’sdecision-makingprocess.
