AlthoughobtainingaCOisstraightforward,it'simportantthatspecificproceduresarefollowed: YoumustincludeanExportersInformationFormUpdate.Thisformhastobecompletedandforwardedtotheappropriateissuingbody(seebelowforalist),togetherwithalistofsignatoriesauthorisedtosignthecertificatesonbehalfofyourcompany. Evidenceoforigin(ie.copiesoftheinvoice,abilloflading,aletterofcredit,orastatutorydeclaration)mustbesuppliedpriortostamping. ExportersmustprovideacopyofthedocumentsbeingstampedforChamberrecords. Beforesubmissionforauthentication,theexportermustsignallexportdocumentsonthebottomleft-handsideundertheexporter’sdeclaration. Importantly,CertificateofAustralianOriginformscan'tbeusedforanyotherorigin,otherthanAustralian. CertificatesofOriginmustalwaysbetyped.
