Withabuildingareaof8.084m2,itextendstothefootofthehillona6.5-hectaresite.Thereliefandpaintingshavebeenreproducedidenticallybypainter-sculptors,resinworkersandmouldersusingastoneveiltechnique.Attheexitofthecaveexperience,variousdigitalandinteractiveareasallowthevisitorstoexpandtheirknowledgeabouttheartandcivilizationoftheCro-Magnonman.Forinstance,theprojectcontributedtodevelopaparietalarttheatretodiscovertheworksofprehistorians,thecinemafora3DtripthroughLascauxandotherparietalartsitesintheworld,andalsotheImaginationGallerytoexplorethelinksbetweenparietal(cave)artandmodernart. TechnologicalinnovationisakeyaspectofthevisitorexperienceproposedbytheLascaux4project.Thereareinteractivefeaturesallowingthevisitorstoimmersethemselvesinaugmentedrealityexperiences,whileeachvisitorisalsoprovidedwithamultifunctionaldigital"companion",adaptingtotheprofileofthevisitorandallowingthevisitortointeractwiththescenographicdevice(viaBLEtechnologiesandWifi).
