Thesystemassignstheprofitcenter indirectly ,onthebasisofcertaincharacteristicsin aprecedingdocument .Whenthismethodisused,thesystemdoesnottakeintoaccountanyassignmentchangesoccurringafterthedateoftheprecedingdocument.  ExampleExample:indirectassignment Whenyoumakea goodsreceiptposting inProfitcenterAccounting,thesystemtakesovertheprofitcenterfromthecorrespondingorder.Intheorder,thesystemfindstheprofitcenterwhichisassignedtothematerial/plantcombinationitcontained ontheorderdocumentdate .
