Leeks Leekslooklikeovergrowngreenonions,buthaveamilder,moredelicateflavorthanonions.Thewhitebaseandgreenstalkareusedforcookingincreamysoups,fresh,stocksandmore.Leekscanbedirectseededoutdoorsorstartedindoorsandtransplantedintothegarden.Thinningduringthegrowingallowstheplanttogrowmuchlarger.Afterharvest,leekscankeepintherefrigeratorforupto2weeks--ortheycanbedriedforstorage.
