The Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex supports direct ascent into sun-synchronous and polar orbits. 0 WhalersWayOrbitalLaunchComplex Australia’snewestlicencedspacelaunchfacility TheWhalersWayOrbitalLaunchComplexislocatedonthetipoftheEyrePeninsulainSouthAustraliaandwillbetheonlycommercial,multi-usersitethatoffers:Proximitytoestablishedindustryinfrastructurethatcansupportrocketlaunches;Goodyear-roundweather;and Unhinderedsouthwardlaunchtrajectoriesacross unpopulated areaswithlow-densityairandnauticaltrafficlanes. TheLaunchComplexcoversapproximately1200Ha(2965acres)ofopenlandwithover6km(3.72miles)ofoceanfrontage.Thelargelandsizeensureseachlaunchfacilitysafetyzoneiscompletelycontainedwithinthesiteanddoesnotimpactourneighboursorthegeneralpublic.ThiswillsupportdirectascenttoorbitflighttrajectoriesoutovertheGreatAustralianBight,maximizingspacecraftpayloadsandprofitability.SouthernLaunchcanofferourcustomersgreaterlaunchwindowavailabilityandhencelaunchscheduleflexibility.Thiswilltranslateintomorelaunchesandprofitforrocketmanufacturers,andaquickertimetoorbitforsatellitemanufacturers.UltimatelySouthernLaunch’splanistobuildandsupplythelaunchinfrastructuretoenablerocketandsatellitemanufacturerstocomeon-siteandlaunchtheirrocketswithin48hours’notice.Indoingso,SouthernLaunchwillusherinanewparadigmforJust-In-Timespaceaccess.WithSouthernLaunchofferingfulloperationalandlogisticalsupport,includingoveralllaunchcontrolandsafety,weareyourpremierlaunchserviceprovider.
